Dong Ding (or Tung-Ting Oolong) in English is ‘Frozen Summit’ or Icy Peak’, and is the name of the mountain in Taiwan where the tea is cultivated. It was first brought over the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province of China about 150 years ago. Tlife Doingding is originally from Nantou county Taiwan.
The leves are tight and curly with dark green. Soup has elegant fragrance, sweet like osmanthus flower. Sometimes over charcoal can give the tea a toasty and woody flavor.
